At first the drummer looked like Terry Bozzio, but apparently it’s not.
Stan Ridgeway? The only song of his I’ve heard is this one, and only because an acquaintance uses it when installing sound systems to check levels.

Their drummer, Joe Nanini, does look similar to Terry Bozzio.
Stan Ridgway was the original frontman of Wall of Voodoo, performing on their first two albums. Your acquaintance has good taste.
